If you’ve tried and failed to make money on the “interwebs”, just do this. It’s not fancy schmancy but it definitely works. And the best part is, anyone can do it.
The method I’m referring to is called “launch jacking”. Here’s how it works:
Before committing to an online purchase, most people turn to Google for a second opinion.
So let’s say someone wants to buy “Google Sniper” because they’ve watched the video sales letter. Chances are, they’ll go to Google and search for “Google Sniper review”.
That’s where you come in.
The basic idea is to create either a website or YouTube video that reviews the product. Somewhere in your review you include an affiliate link. If you do a good job in your review and people feel they can trust you, chances are, they’ll click your link and buy the product. Then you get paid an affiliate commission. It’s that simple.
So the question is, what products should you “jack”, how do you create your reviews, and how do you get them ranked in Google? Luckily, the answers are simple.
The Best Products To Launch Jack
Without a doubt, the best and most profitable products to target are information products, preferably membership sites. What’s an “information product”? Quite simply, ebooks, video courses or any kind of “how to” product that teaches someone how to improve their quality of life.
The reason I recommend to target membership sites is simple. You only have to make the sale once and you can get paid over and over again. All you have to do is promote sites with a good stick rate that convert, and you can do very, very well.
If you’re just getting started, what I recommend you do is head on over to the ClickBank marketplace. Target a popular niche like “make money online” or “relationship advice” and find popular membership sites with a decent gravity (at least 30).
Check out their pricing structure; make sure they charge at least $20 a month. You can still do well with a $5 or $10 product but I’d rather make a lot more money a lot quicker.
Finally, do your due diligence on the product. Make sure it’s halfway decent with a low refund rate.
How To Create Your Reviews
Again, you’ve got two options: You can either rank a website or YouTube video in Google.
I personally recommend to use YouTube videos, because they’re generally easier to rank (after all, YouTube is owned by Google), and you can also get away with using questionable backlinks.
Either way, here’s how to craft your review:
First off, focus on both the pros AND the cons. Don’t be deceived. No product is perfect and people are looking for the flaws. If you paint the product you’re reviewing as “perfect”, no one will believe you. So what you want to do instead is be honest and upfront.
First thing’s first, search the internet for honest reviews. Forums are a great place to start. Find out what what people’s unbiased opinions are (as in, don’t trust anyone promoting the product with an affiliate link).
What you’ll find is, unless the product is an outright scam, it’s usually little things that tick people off. For example, slow support, videos take too long to load, the videos are outdated, the “guru” never emails you back and so on.
Find flaws that are annoying, but not deal breakers. For example, if the product is about SEO, and it’s a good product that works, but the “guru” talks slowly in his videos or repeats the same thing over and over again, bring that up. That’s not a deal breaker.
In terms of the pros, again, don’t exaggerate, because people will know you’re lying. There’s no such thing as an “amazing” or “earth shattering” product. Just be upfront about what you like, what other people like, and what you think is going to help the average person out.
In other words, talk like you’re trying to explain the product to your best friend. Don’t lie, don’t cheat, don’t manipulate anyone, and you’ll do just fine.
Here’s an example of a YouTube video I personally created. It’s not fancy schmancy but again this works. I’m actually literally in the process of getting this ranked, so if you want to you can follow along with the progress.
How To Boost Your Conversion Rate
The best thing you can do to improve your conversion rate is offer a bonus to anyone who buys through your affiliate link. Since I launch jack products in the “make money online” niche, I offer people six months free access to my membership site, The Million Dollar Case Study.
What you offer is up to you, but try and keep it relevant to the product. For example, if you’re launch jacking a product about local SEO, offer a bonus that reveals how you get clients.
How To Rank In Google
There are hundreds, possibly thousands of different methods to get backlinks. But without a doubt the most powerful – that’s working right now – are contextual links from related blogs.
So let’s say you’re launch jacking a golf product. If lots of popular golf bloggers link to your review, there’s a very good chance it will rank #1 in Google.
The only problem is, it can be very difficult to get these links (which is why they work so well).
So here’s what I recommend you do:
Option 1 (free). If you’re just getting started, find popular related blogs in your niche that accept guest posts. Just do a Google search for: “your niche” + “guest post”. Be sure to check their domain authority in the Open Site Explorer just in case (stick with sites over 30).
Now all you have to do is follow their instructions and submit your article. Most bloggers will allow you to include a link or two back to your site or YouTube video, as long as it’s relevant.
The good news is, depending on how competitive your keyword is, you don’t need many of these links to rank. Your competition are FAR too lazy to go the manual route so even just a few links from really high quality blogs will be enough.
Option 2 (paid). Once you’re making money, I highly recommend building a private blog network. The basic idea is you buy lots of expiring domains with a good history (decent link profile etc), rebuild the sites, and then link to your YouTube videos or website reviews from those blogs.
Again, this is expensive, but it’s very, very powerful. And it’s also extremely convenient. After all, you own the blogs and can create as many links as you want.
Sit Back And Enjoy The Profits
Once your website or YouTube video is ranked #1 in Google, it’s 100% passive income. Day in, day out the traffic rolls in, people click your affiliate links and you get paid. Just like that.
